Soap noodles are the sodium salt of fatty acids from RBD Palm Oil and RBD Palm Kernel Oil and Coconut Oil. It is the main ingredient for soap bar manufacturing. The standard blend 80/20 soap noodles containing 78% total fatty matter.
Soap noodles can be produced from the saponification of neutral fats and oil, neutralization of fatty acid, and saponification of methyl esters. The typical blend 80/20 standard is comprised of an 80% mix of palm oil and palm stearin, and 20% palm kernel oil. There are also other blends available in the market such as 90/10, 70/30, and 60/40. TFM, a measure of fat content from various oil blends, moisture, and glycerine contents are important parameters in distinguishing grades of soap noodles.
